Ski Q/A with Danny

Hometown/ Home Mountain: Ketchum/Grand Targhee Resort
Years skiing:  38

-If there was one reason you started tele-skiing, what would it be?   I would go xcountry skiing after school as a kid through the woods and hit all the hills.   It was great memories.  I’d spend the weekends skiing downhill at Holiday Valley,NY.

-Pick an ideal day: epic shooting day full of keeper-shots, or soul turns with your homies?   Skiing with homies.

-Give me 5 words that skiing brings to mind:   Powder, air, deep, speed, style.

-Favorite aspect of mountain culture?   Time in the mountains.

-Take me through a typical powder-day routine:   Cleveland Coffee Company fresh brew, yoga and stretching, breakfast, tunes.

-Best day this year in a couple brief sentences:   The white room-dryiest and deepest day in years!

-Best moment on skis:   Every day when I click in.

-What’s your bigger picture?   Spreading my passion for Telemark skiing to the masses. Continue my mountain education.

-Favorite pow-day ritual:   Hearing the phone ring early in the morning.

-Why free the heel?   It is what comes natural to me.  Looks way more sty-lee!

-Current/ near future endeavors? skiing or otherwise?   Making the most out of everyday.  Doing the works.

-Favorite off-season activities?  Stand Up Paddle Boarding,  Rock climbing, Mountain biking, yoga, cheering for Cleveland Sports Teams.

-Inspiration:   People who do what they love!

-Average ski days per season?  120-140!
